Calhoun Community College (CCC)
Located in Limestone County, just a 10 minute drive south of Athens. CCC is Alabama's largest two year college. Calhoun offers a wide variety of majors and currently has over 12,000 students. The college offers 49 associate degree programs and 52 career/certificate programs.

Athens City Schools
The Athens City Public School System is home to over 3,200 students and approximately 420 employees. The system is home to one high school, one middle school, one intermediate school, and four elementary schools. ACS is one of the leading school districts in the state of Alabama.
